Goldmorr Powered Approach
Our restoration technicians are Certified Goldmorr Master Technicians. We believe that Goldmorr has formulated a product that provides an opportunity to slash the cost of traditional mold remediation in half, while offering more compelling and lasting results. In most cases with Goldmorr, there is no need to remove drywall from the contaminated area, which will eliminate the expenses associated with deconstruction and reconstruction. Moreover, the affected area will be habitable and you will be back in business the same day.
Our building managers, homeowners, and insurance clients love us right now—there are only a handful of companies in Southern California that are certified to use Goldmorr products. We know the Goldmorr approach is one of our keys to creating raving fans. If you can get your clients to talk about their mold job they just had done, you are doing something right! This stuff works, and it works like nothing else on the market.
It is easy to imagine the cost savings associated with the Goldmorr strategy, there is often little to no need to demolish and replace the contaminated building materials with new ones. This saves time and it saves money. Our commercial clients and insurance adjusters have been especially impressed with our Goldmorr powered approach. We are in and out the same day in many cases, therefore they are not on the hook for the cost associated with relocating their tenets. This is a big deal and represents the natural next step in mold abatement and remediation.
The Application Methods
The Goldmorr System will generally use only two products during the mold cleaning process. The first product is GM6000. This product is a Sodium Hypochlorite based product to clean the visible mold. It is used on hard surfaces only, such as walls, ceilings, tiles and concrete. It is common knowledge that Sodium Hypochlorite has associated VOC’s, similar to household bleach, however, part two of the process will neutralize those VOC’s. Importantly, unlike some other products, GM6000 will not remove the paint from your walls or ceiling.
In extreme cases, part two of our process can be the most important. We are equipped to fog the entire structure with a product that will eliminate the airborne spores. GM2000 is biodegradable, non-toxic, low/non-irritant and non-corrosive. Best of all, it will eliminate the spores throughout your structure, thus preventing other colonies of mold being able to form in other rooms/areas.
Goldmorr FAQs
What is fogging? When our Goldmorr Master Technicians refers to fogging, it is the process by which the GM2000 is applied within your dwelling. The product is misted by use of a spray device and so can gain far greater and more consistent coverage of an entire home; similar to the steam created when you have a hot shower.
Why fog the entire house instead of only the room that has the mold? This is simply because mold spores spread. They are carried on your clothing as well as being present in the air. If the entire dwelling is not fogged, then the mold will return in other rooms under the right conditions. The bottom line here is that we can confidently use GM2000 knowing that you are extremely unlikely to have any reaction to it. It is not going to harm any of your furnishings either. We have performed many treatments with occupants who suffer with such ailments as asthma and multiple sclerosis and others going through chemotherapy. All have reported improvements in their own well-being following mold removal and fogging, with many of clients opting for an annual fog regardless of the fact that mold may not be present.
Note: If you are shopping around for mold remediation, please ensure that the products used have been tested and pose little or no danger to your health and well-being.
Extensive Scientific Testing
The testing of the Goldmorr products has included skin irritation testing, also known as Acute Dermal Irritation/Corrosion testing and showed no signs of erythema or edema at any time with examinations conducted at 60 minutes, 24, 48 and 72 hours. This means that the product can be classified as a non-skin irritant product.
Further testing of the product regarding its biodegradability was conducted with the result described as “rapid and excellent biodegradability”. The Goldmorr products achieved a degradation of 95% with a substance that has greater than 70% described as having excellent biodegradability.
Testing was conducted on the effectiveness of GM2000 on Stachybotrys chartarum and Aspergillus niger with outstanding results achieved. GM2000 was able to reduce Stachybotrys chartarum >99.99996% and Aspergillus niger >99.99998% – That is a lot of decimal places! GM2000 is frequently tested for efficiency and ability to eliminate mold.
The Causes & The Cure
There are some causes of mold that Goldmorr tackles best. The most common causes of mold, aside from a water intrusion event such as flooding, leaking roofs, damaged pipes or hot water systems comes from air exchange issues. Air exchange issues arise when excess humidity is present. This is very common at times when the outside air is cooler than the inside air, such as when your heater is on in the winter. This will result in condensation and subsequently an excess of moisture inside your home. Technically, the temperature at which the condensation starts to form is called “dew point.” In the summer months, humidity due to weather will cause similar conditions to those that are present during the winter months that contribute to the ideal conditions for the growth of mold.
The reason that we see mold starting to form and quickly get out of control, is simply because mold spores are everywhere. A quarter of the Earth’s biomass is made up of different kinds of mold and mold spores. The spores are very small and float in the air. They are carried on clothing; they can enter the structure by simply coming in on a breeze. They may be present in furnishings, plants or even food that has formed mold colonies such as those seen on old bread or fruit. To flourish, they simply need the right conditions. This includes moisture, which, as mentioned previously, can come from excess humidity within the structure. Our Goldmorr Master Technicians will advise you on ways that you can reduce the excess moisture and humidity within your structure, which will aid in keeping mold at bay.
